DESCRIPTION:Curious about kayaking? This FREE guided Intro to Paddling program is the perfect opportunity to get out on the water and learn the basics in a fun\, supportive environment. Led by two certified Paddlesports Safety Facilitators\, you’ll paddle the calm waters of J.W. Smith Reservoir while learning about Clayton County’s water resources\, wildlife\, and natural surroundings. \nKayaks\, paddles\, life jackets\, emergency whistles\, and small dry bags are provided. Participants should wear quick-dry clothing\, closed-toe shoes\, weather-appropriate layers\, a shirt under their life jacket\, and sun protection. \nRegistration opens approximately 2–3 weeks before the program.
