Every quilt tells a story! We invite you to share the story of your holiday traditions, family memories, and seasonal inspirations through quilting.
See Clayton County is seeking holiday-themed quilts for the upcoming Stitching Our Story: Holiday Tradition exhibit. This special exhibition celebrates the role quilting plays in preserving memories, honoring traditions, and connecting generations during the holiday season.
Selected quilts will be displayed in the 2026 Stitching Our Story: A Celebration of Holiday Tradition exhibit, running from November 5 to December 13, 2026 as part of a curated exhibit highlighting creativity, craftsmanship, and storytelling through textile art.
A $100 Visa gift card will be awarded for Best in Show. The vote for Best in Show quilt will be conducted throughout the quilt show and announced on social media channels for See Clayton County, GA. We welcome both traditional and contemporary quilt styles.
Eligibility:
- Open to all quilters.
- Quilts should not exceed 60 inches by 60 inches.
- No hanging sleeve required.
- Quilts may be traditional or art quilts.
- Each quilt must have three (3) layers (top, batting, and backing).
Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: September 21, 2026
- Quilt Drop off: October 5, 2026
- Exhibit Opening: November 5, 2026
- Exhibit Closing: December 13, 2026:
- Quilt Pickup: January 6-13, 2027
Submission Requirements:
- Complete one application form for each quilt submitted.
- Provide at least one full image of the quilt and one detail image.
- Include a short artist bio and quilt story (to be used in the exhibit and for QR codes).
- Submissions should be sent electronically.
