Keep your ears and eyes open for swimming muskrats, turtles sunning on a log, a heron searching for its next meal, or deer meandering through the woods. The preserve land once served as a Boys Scouts of America camp for African American Scouts prior to the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
